Last Breath is a web series inspired by the stories of real Australian women executed or imprisoned for life for murder. Set in a grim waiting cell with just a chair, Last Breath is about the moment before each character is either brought to the gallows or about to be brought back into the court for sentencing. They are in that limbo world, that moment of breath before everything changes. GAG will be exploring how the character feels right in this moment, what they want us to believe, how they want to be remembered and highlighting the incidents that brought them to this grim fate.

Each episode has been written and performed by a GAG member. Each participant went through a four week intensive Writing Workshop with Perri Cummings (Neighbours, Trench, The Association), who designed the program for members to research, develop and write a monologue inspired by these real women and their stories to find maximum personal connection to produce an authentic performance.

Episodes by: Jennifer Monk, Shanon Kulupach, Hannah Davies, Kelley Kerr Young, Lisa Dallinger, Lee McClenaghan, Eva Torrokola, Emma Jo McKay and Constance Washington.
